LOL! Agreed; however, the CEO of Fiat/Chrysler is a nitwit. Instead of engineering a midsized car/cars that will sell to the masses and actually make the company money, he'll continue to make niche vehicles with old and antiquated designs that actually COST the company money. Cuckoo!!!

I think they are doing well with the Challenger and Charger since the platform is long paid for and the small updates they're doing probably don't cost a ton.. However, it's time for something new.. If they still want to stick with a bigger vehicle than the Camaro and Mustang, cool. At least update it and give it a weight loss.

Dart and 200 weren't bad cars either, but if I remember correctly FCA royally screwed up Dart's launch due to the engine choices available at launch and 200 was fleet dumped into oblivion from the beginning.
Instead of trying to fix them, FCA let both wither on the vine then scratched their heads wondering why they wouldn't sell.

3/4 of the weight saving came from removal and the back seat and the passenger seat, really lol? They also gave it smaller brakes, simpler steering, and some suspension parts were made thinner. This is not a road car...thinner suspension parts, smaller brakes, only one seat. No thanks. |

I have a 2015 200 it has been a good car get 7L per 100km have put 110000km on it in 2 years 800km to a tank of gas the 4cyl engine is great. All I can think is that they did not market it right, and not bail on it they way they did.

The weight loss is a joke. They might as well gone full tilt with it and removed carpet, radio, a/c and at least made an attempt to make it sound like it was in the plan to make a barely legal street car instead of trying to market a one seat wonder. I was a Mopar guy for a very long time, they have lost their way.

I mean GM did the same thing with the Z/28 for the same reason. Overweight platform that desperately needed weight stripped out for performance.
The difference is the Z/28 is still a viable road car off the track. And has all its seats intact.

So they released another teaser today. Wow, they really fooled us.
Apparently, the car will be a tuners dream come true. It comes with the "Demon Crate" which is a box full of parts to setup the car for whatever type of racing you want it to take on. More details here: http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars...rformance-car/
