2019 Yenko

I went to Barrett Jackson Palm Beach today, they had a few 2019 Yenko stage two Camaros, 1000 hp. They sounded nasty with a nice cam lope. The one I saw go across the block sold for 155k with 25 miles on it. Also Two IROCS, one all original with like 6000 miles that went for 24.5k and a twin turbo with 800 horsepower sell for around 50k. I was definitely surprised at how much third gens are going for now.

Third gen is my favorite looking Camaro. It's a shame the chassis is such a poor performer.

I really don't miss my 3rd GEN. I had 2 plus my parents had a berlinetta which was supposed to be mine but my mom got T-boned by a lady who ran a red light. A few things I didn't like about the 3rd GEN was the really cheap plastic dash that would crack, the poor cargo space design of the back though it was easy to get things in and out, then the headlights were pretty bad though I think that was due to the tech at the time. The outside had decent lines. But I am very happy with the 6GEN. Only complaint is how the trunk opening is set up. Hard to get anything big back there even though there is plenty of space.

Back to the OP, those are very nice. I would love a Yenko.

SVE really did a good job on the Yenko and the cams do hit in those Camaros. Love that sound! I had 2 third gens, a 1982 Z28 and a 1987 IROC Z28. The ‘82 was just a basic Z28 with a 4 speed manual and the ‘87 IROC was optioned out with T-tops, 4 wheel disc brakes, upgraded cloth interior and a TPI 305/ 5 speed. The T-tops leaked from day one despite replacing the seals/weather strips and like was posted the chassis had bad flex too but that was the technology back then. I really like the 6 gen as I am on my 2nd one now. I bought a 2016 2SS and kept it until back in March when I traded it for a very low mileage 2017 ZL1 which I got for a good deal. It’s a very different Camaro as compared to the SS with that LT4 and really enjoying the extra 200 hp!

Most Gen 3's were "rode hard and put up wet". They didn't hold up well body and chassis wise, thus the reasons you see very few nice ones around today.

Not to digress, saw a IROC a couple moths ago in the morning leaving a breakfast joint. Cop was checking it out. Apparently someone left it in a lot overnight, an a**#0L3 broke the back hatch glass out and it had rained hard that night - really hard - all night, hated to see that.

Sigh... welcome to city living....
