Calling SHOCK owners with aftermarket side markers!

Hey gang, just picked up my 2020 ZL1 vert in SHOCK today.

I'm curious if any of you other shock owners have swapped out your side marker lights for the diode dynamics. I'm pretty torn between the clear and the smoked versions.

The smoked would blend better with the tail lights and 3rd brake light, but I fear they might stand out on the super bright side panels against the shock color.

If you've got any pics of aftermarket side markers on a Shock Camaro, I'd love to see them!

What ever you decide buy the cheapest crap on eBay or Amazon because thats what you're going to get anyway. I have had three of the Diode Dynamics replaced under warranty and now the two front ones half the elements are burned out, for what you pay for those you can get three sets from eBay.

I just picked up a blackout kit for the side makers and rear tail lights.

I am with Blackbeast, I just picked up a blackout kit on Amazon from Decal Concepts. It came with the side markers, taillights, 3rd brake light and rear reflectors for around $20-$25. I also purchased a full taillight blackout kit from decal concepts through Amazon, so now the taillights sort of resemble the new C8 taillights in my opinion. I will post pics when I get a chance.

I know I do not have the shock color, but I do like the dark, smoked, blackout look. Also for that price, you could pick them up and install and see if you like the look and if not, then you were not out as much as it would cost for the Diode. I have heard some issues with them on this site and for the cost, there should be no issues at least not that soon as guys are reporting.

I replaced my side marker bulbs with Auxito LED units and they have worked extremely well.
Because the lenses were not replaced you won't get that blackout effect if that is what you are really after.
But if you just want bright side markers without the added bulb heat and power draw they work great.
Every one of them has worked out of the box so far.
I also did our other car with the extras as well as the trunk lights on both cars.
A little more than $10 for all of that as a price comparison point.
It depends upon what your goal is.
I liked them so well I ordered more and did our truck too.
Very pleased with them.
