I agree that is one god awful looking monstrosity. I do see more and more Dodge Rams on the road. Though I would never buy one; I can see how their muscular looks appeals to the masses compared to the lego block GM trucks.

A Canadian Tire store seems to confirm something we were fairly certain about: the Bronco will use a 2.3-liter four-cylinder.

Its time gm finally becomes a leader not a follower. I am a gm guy have bought 27 new gm vehicles in my life and many performance cars and everyday cars and have only strayed a few times. That being said to be honest if they don't put a good looking high hp camaro out (lt5 755 hp range or better) in something like a zl1 at least hopefully a zl1 1le then its time for me to move on from the brand in general. I will not go ford or Chrysler but Audi, Porsche would be high on the list. I wanted a ZR1 but 140k was 40k more then my Z06 and it has 750 to the wheels now and I did not see the value the ZR1 so gm lost me there. I can't say I won't buy a C8 but right now I don't like the idea or looks of it.
Well, actually the Mustang was built to go after the Corvair.

You are correct, sir! Not many folks realize that, but the pony car inspiration was the Corvair, and the Corvair's inspiration was the original VW Beetle.

It's pretty crazy that the Beetle inspired the car that inspired the Mustang. Weird but true....

And the car that inspired the Beetle was the Ford Model T.

It's not even out yet, it'll cost more than the 2020 Camaro LT1 trim, and that has a V8

Check two additional boxes for the Chevy and you can get all the same bits on a Camaro except for the painted black roof.

Yeah, the Mustang has the Camaro there, if that's your thing. But when's the last time a Mustang offered a sunroof?

Debatable. There are other reasons why Mustang sales have been higher before we start assuming something like that.

No dealer would leave greater sales volume of lower priced examples on the table to realize less profit on fewer sales of optioned out examples. They buy what they have a business sense will sell. And you can always factory order.

How many consumers do you think really struggled that much over turbo-4 vs V6? When Chevy ditches the V6 in the Camaro, it'll be for the same reason Ford did in the Mustang: too few other models used it to make it economical. Ford doubled down on EcoBoost years ago, while Chevy's latest high feature V6 line is slowly diminishing but still pretty widely used.

Again, it's priced like an LT1 with still more torque and power

Chevy, I know you are reading this. If this is true I do not blame you, it's a making $$ thing. And the Mustang being the better car with the Camaro being the better Driver's car. But how about a last harrah or 3?

You have the track cred fully covered currently, but this does not sell cars. Although many like me enjoy driving a real drivers car.

Those harrahs would be:
  • Put the LT5 in the ZL1
  • A 1320 version of the LT5 ZL1 ala Dodge with no launch bogging (M6 and A10)
  • A 1320 version of the new LT1/LT1-LT2? ala Dodge with no launch bogging (M6 and A10)

That 1320 LT1/Lt2 M6 just might get me back in the new car game. That is a perfect fun car without all the ugly addons and Na V8 speed.

Yes. Mustang is outpacing the Camaro ...with volume at levels previously stated as “concerning poor sales.

2010 - 2013 will be collectible, esp the 2013's. 2016 - 2018 although smaller interior, outside looks edgy, futuristic. They should hold up well in the next 10 yrs.

That said, I still feel like my 2.0T is amazingly quick and I don't really feel like I need more power on the street. It's light too. The horsepower wars can't go on forever, nor should they.
Oh forsure the turbo is quick and it is the lighter car. It's just for overall sales, I feel like it would be better for GM to cut it down to one engine option for the LT models and an more powerful I4 would be awesome.
