GM has been doing Gen 7 even Gen 8.

As well as, they don't want to give up the sedan market.

However, GM doesn't want to follow Ford's way.

Well, there will be no more bootleg Coors in the east after yesterday either.

GM sales down, the Bandit is gone, what's next? A 900HP Camaro bouncing Kia?

Have to keep in mind, GM is in the middle of a transition of it's number 1 selling vehicle, the Silverado. I believe that a 1 month look, the month they opened shipping of the new truck, is a slanted view of overall sales.

Yeah, and I saw and sat in a 19 yesterday. A white Z71. Talk about yuck. I can't imagine that thing will give a big sales boost. That is one where the pictures look much better than in person.

If they were that bad they wouldn't run them. I imagine they have reams of data that says they work.

This. Even the venerable Accord is down big.

I'm worried about that. The reviews have not been kind regarding the interior either. Sounds like RAM went much further recognizing that a $50,000 vehicle should have a pretty nice interior. GM did it's usual "make a nice interior for a $25,000 truck and see how it plays at the top end". This is what GM has done for 20 years now.

Well, I was going to post about driving a new Ram yesterday too, but figured I would get flamed. That truck is absolutely unbelievable inside and out. My buddy that has a Dodge dealership says they aren't selling well for him though. To put it in context though, he is a very low volume dealer. One one I drove wasn't even the top of the line. It would have been comparable to the white Z71 that is just more of the same in an uglier package from GM.

A guy on Youtube was reviewing one of the new RAMs and the touch screen display locked-up on him during the review. Pretty is one thing, reliable is another. I wouldn't touch any Dodge with a 10 foot pole.

i have all three brands and have owned all three for over 30 years. i have had trouble with all them. as far as reliability they are all pretty evenly matched. i would give chevy the overall edge in reliability but not enough to stay away from the others.

Do not ask.
How did you get just Aug sales figures when GM is only announcing quarterly sales numbers?

Probably not in a way he would disclose on the Internet.
