What's the Max Safe G in an SS 1LE?

I ask because with my new wheel/tire setup I'm consistently seeing 1.49g at Barber Motorsports Park. I know ZL1 1LEs hit those type of numbers but their oil requirements are different that what's recommended for an SS 1LE. Also, do they have any special hardware that helps combat oil starvation?

I know Provost has to be hitting the same or better Gs I am, so maybe it's no big deal?

No special hardware, just higher viscosity for ZLE to ensure no pick up starvation.
Tons of folks running sticky tires apparently with no motor loses. I think some would have grenaded by now if this was an issue. But much depends on how long the corner is vs Gs alone. In other words sustained Gs for a prolonged period. Sorry i cant offer a more concrete response here. Cheers!

Yeah, with slight banking you can hold that much lat on the stock setup even, and GM likely checked to make sure it's safe at steeper banks. The "special hardware" is all the baffling in the oil pan and 10 qts of oil that comes from the factory You should be just fine on that setup.

-10qt of oil
-windage tray
-baffled pan/boxed oil pickup
-LT1 block, in general, had a focus on oiling for track use (oil distribution, splash areas and drain-back)

Somewhere it is noted by GM the g-forces the LT1 was designed to, but I’m pretty sure it was at least something like 1.3g consistently and during various positions.
