X-Pipes & Headers

Hey guys, new to the camaro scene, was trying to get some help on buying aftermarket products with performance gains.
I have the stock NPP exhaust on my 2SS and from what I hear I would have to cut off the x-pipes on the stock npp if I wanted to replace it?

Anyways, what are some item recommendations you guys have? Could be anything for performance gains not just x-pipes/headers. For now I'm waiting on the roto-fab intake stats and heard a lot about kooks headers on here.

Basically items that would go with the NPP exhaust.

Kooks requires modifications to fit, ARH headers bolt directly on and you can get their system that replaces the stock xpipe, or go with their H pipe.

You have to cut with arh too. Stainless Works offers the best system for people with A8's bc they are the only one offering full 3" afm valves.

Cut what? Spoke to Cunningham and they said you don't have to do any modifications, it bolts right on.

The stock system is one piece after the manifolds and several cats. You have to cut if you want to reuse the stock muffler.

The ARH intermediate system stops right after the primary cat.

No it doesn't. http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showth...&highlight=Arh
The first picture in that thread is of the intermediate system. It goes way further back than where the stock primary cats were. The primary cats are so close to the engine that even long tube headers alone would still require cutting the stock system

So only the American Racing LT Headers "Long System" will bolt directly to factory/aftermarket axle back?

If that picture is correct, then what is this?

That first picture on your link is not complete. If you look at the alternate pictures, right next to it it shows the picture with the x-pipe I linked to. There is no shorter system like that first pic. The first picture is confusing. Even the description says an x-pipe is included. There's no x-pipe in that first picture. Even if that first picture did exist, the connections on each side are different stock and in different locations. It wouldn't make any sense

What jimmypop13 said is correct. We chose to put the picture of the header first for the ARH systems, then in the product page it will have the picture of the x-pipe or h-pipe or just the catted pipes.

OP: Right now all header systems require you to cut the factory exhaust system if you want to keep that in place. You can go with Stainless Works systems that allow you to retain the NPP functionality.
