295/315-30 PS4S. SS w/ GM lowering kit. Thoughts?

Why don’t more folks run this setup? I have 20x10ET20 / 20x11ET40 wheels. Looking for tires. The 295/315 combo is $50 cheaper for the set then STD 1LE sizes. PS4S seem to run a little narrow. And the 315/30 is almost exactly the same height as the 275/35 so for the SS guys like myself MPH or auto shift points shouldn’t really be effected...

Am I missing something?

My only concern is the 295/30 rubbing with a 22mm drop (GM kit). I may pick up 2x295/30 and try it - and if I have issues sell and buy the 285/305.

Thoughts?

I have the SG3 GM upgraded suspension (they actually advertise a 20MM drop) and 1LE sway Bars and when I took measurements the actual drop in suspension was roughly 3/4 of an inch in front and 1/2 an inch in the rear. I run 305 30 19 MS 4S tires on APEC SM10 19 x 10.5 ET22 wheels and the set up works great even WITHOUT using the 3-5MM front wheel spacer. We did have to grind a very small portion at the wheel side of the strut near the top to keep the wheel from rubbing the front strut which was no biggie. This of course results in a completely rotatable wheel and tire combination. The car FLIES around a road course with neutral handling..
