If you are using the rubber blocks, they arrive with a thin coat of oil on them, I would thoroughly clear then off with some Isopropyl to give them more stick and less slip...

Make sure to check your fittings as soon as you get your order. They make you buy both male/female fittings for $80 if you're out of warranty.

I had the 5000 slt and they were kinda short. I sold them and bought the 6000XLT and they work great. A lot heavier to move around, but go wheel to wheel.

Is it a tight fit with the 6000's between the tires? I sure have been impressed with my quick jacks.

If anyone is curious, he gave a report on why QJ lifting pads failed. I commented on original video asking if he used the tall or short pads, he replied with short ones. In this video that apparently wasn't the case, he was indeed on the tall ones.

TLDR: He said it was due to using taller pads in conjunction with the magnetic jack pad.

Just got a Quickjack 5000TLX. All the quickconnect fittings leak! No matter how many times I try to seal them.
So frustrating when you spend this much and end up with useless junk.
Any ideas how to fix it?
This sucks.

Did you tape the fittings? I've never had fittings leak when taped.

Instructions said not to use tape because it could contaminate the system and can lead to all sorts of trouble.
Used their included thread sealant as directed (multiple times) with no success.
All I got was puddles of trans fluid all over the garage.

You can use tape instead of the sealent if you'd like. It says so in the latest manual. I taped mine and not a drop going on 3 years.

the sealant they give is useless goo...use teflon tape as specified above. Don't put tape over the last thread (closest to the opening) and wrap it in the correct direction.

I bought mine 1 year ago, I have the bottle o' goo, and I've had zero leaking fittings.

Now I was missing one Schrader valve and it took them way too long to send it to me, but that's a different story.
