Painted 1LE steering wheel bezel with badge?

Has anyone painted their steering wheel bezel yet and replaced the badge with a ILE badge?

I know Lupe sells one for the ZL1 which is the same bezel and will most likely be the one I will buy. I'm just curious as to how hard it would be to de-badge it and replace it with a 1LE badge that looks similar to the ZL1 badge.

I also know emblempros has small 1LE badges but are they small enough to fit in the badge spot on the steering wheel bezel just in case I have to go that route?

Wow...I really don't like that at all. It looks cheap.

A 1LE badge would be cool.

Same wheel, just leather wrapped on the ZL1, not suede/alcantara that is on the 1LE. The suede is an option on the ZL1.

Lupe at Camarocustoms has the ZL1 wheel bezel painted with your choice of color and paint finish (gloss, semi-gloss, matte)

I agree that the gloss in red isn't that appealing but in matte or maybe semi-gloss it should look better

Looks tacky. Maybe black metallic? Or dark color would look good.

My humble opinion but the bezel looks awesome painted gloss red to match my car when it has the matching accents. No one makes a 1le emblem that I have seen to replace the SS on the wheel. It's extremely small and requires two very simple wires out the back that bend inward to hold it.

elarson5757 - Looks good. I like it with the black bottom center. I will probably go the with semi gloss so it doesn't stand out too much over the silver accents in the interior. Thanks for the pic

What's the switch for by the cup holders?

Suspect it might be DIY Mild-to-Wild NPP switch

If it's a 3 way switch then it's probably the stealth, factory, and wild mod switch.
