Any Intel would be great.

I believe they're coming out with a larger blower and are no longer producing the 2.9. I know that Magnuson has stopped offering the 2300. I doubt if there is much of a market for the 2.9 when the 2650 from Magnuson or Edelbrock is simply a better mousetrap at basically the same cost. That may well change when Whipple releases their new blower.

They discontinued the 2.9 and the gen 5 3.0 is supposed to replace it at some point. The 3.0 is a pretty stout unit. It's been 7's in the 1/4 on the Coyote platform and quite a bit better then the VMP Odin...and still has the advantage even with the VMP ported.

Agreed, looking forward to seeing the new Whipple 3.0 duke it would with the 2650 Maggie. Should be a great matchup.

Not here, HA. I'm not volunteering to be a test subject.

If that 5th Gen 3.0 is better than an Odin, I'm sure it's got a leg-out on a Edelbrock/Maggie 2650. That's pretty cool. It's not interesting until it's got a CARB-number for me...

We're all vaccinated in one way or another from one thing or another and we're all test subjects whether we like it or wanna believe it or not. Flu, mumps, measles, rebella, the list goes on and on. If you don't get the C-19 vacc, then whatever you think they're putting in it, they'll just put it in you in one of the many many other shots, medicines, whatever. Let's not pretend we have any choices.

I don't see why Whipple needed to go with an upgraded system when the 2.9 was more than capable of 4 digit RWHP numbers (just have to spin it a bit faster) and was a more affordable option. For my build I opted for the 2.9 over the 2650 because the price was that much better and they added in a smaller pulley so it would make what the 2650 was gonna make. However they straight up DC'd the 2.9, probably to force people towards the 3.0...AND the 3.0 isn't even out for the Camaro yet. So now I went with the 2650 instead of waiting for the 3.0.
