Nylon/Plastic panel removal tools. You should be able to find them at your local auto parts store, harbor Freight, Northern Tool, Amazon, etc.

The set I have, I’ve been using since 2012 made by Astro Pneumatic

Roger that. I ended up using a screwdriver and didn't scratch anything. Took about 30 mins to complete everything. Now my iPhone X charges as it always should have. No more sore spot in the car that kept haunting me with laughter.

The iPhone 8 and X fit perfect, but the plus models do not. They still charge if you angle them correctly but they are likely gonna shift while driving.
