Note to self: re-install exhaust fuse before service

They said they got a code and had to clear it out before getting me the new e-diff calibration. I totally forgot I had pulled the fuse, just had gotten used to hearing the exhaust the way it was meant to be heard...

You've got a 1LE, why not put the exhaust in Track mode?

Track mode still closes the valves under low load conditions. He wants them open 100% of the time and probably without changing the tune.

Last time my car was at the dealer he noticed I had errors that it couldn't read TPMS a few times and oddly enough only on the rears

Looked him right in the eyes and said "burn out wheels", he just smiled and moved on

Pulling the NPP fuse does set a soft code, typically though it shouldnt caused issues unless the module being flashed with the new firmware is affected.

How do you even notice that? Car is pretty loud to me in low loads and I'm always driving in Comfort with Track exhaust

You don't. What you are doing is perfect, I promise. I played with that crap for a year with my SS. In the menu in track setting, it is not noticeable, well I guess unless you are an audiophile.

I have yet to have someone prove me wrong.

For example, mine closes the valves when cruising on the highway at 65-70 mph in 8th (top overdrive gear for the A8). Car is now louder with long tube headers and no secondary cats, which also magnifies the difference between closed and open, so it's pretty easy to tell.

Because when you pull the fuse, it sounds better.

Ok, mine was a TR6060 so maybe that is why.

See , please, please post some audio. I never got this out of mine.

Fair enough, the engine blew so maybe I am the outlier, but I think not.

TR6060 maybe?
