Aftermarket programming

Is it possible to add a functioning track mode to the LT Camaros? I plan on getting an SS gauge cluster put in and there's another thread about him putting the dash and who he used to reprogram it in, but is there a way that I can put track mode into my car? I have a base LT so it would only affect the pedal pressure sensitivity and the handling of the car so it wouldn't be much, also was wondering if adding competitive mode (TC off with just a hair of stability control still active), and what is the tech behind launch control? Is that a possible thing to add? If anyone has any information on the tech behind all of this and some good programming or automotive electronic companies I could contact it would be much appreciated.

It'll be a bit of a pain with quite a few modules needing flashed that I'm not sure aftermarket can do. For track mode it'll be something along the lines of BCM, IPC, DIC, EPS, ECM, and brake control module. Track mode in your car would be changing power steering cal and throttle response. The easy button there is getting an aftermarket throttle controller and using that to get the more linear throttle mapping and leaving steering and the rest alone.

As for launch control, that's also not really able to be added using the OEM setup. That would require a custom cal for the brake control module to setup properly (no one can do that AFAIK) as well as software changes for all the modules listed above. TCM would also need different software with a custom cal if you have an auto trans.

It's borderline hopeless, the only realistic chance I see is finding a complete V6 or I4 1LE calibration for all these modules Alpha1BC mentioned and attempting to flash them, and even then there is no guarantee they will all work.

IMO, realistically, this is something that requires complete access to the relevant GM infrastructure and someone willing to lose their job and potentially getting prosecuted over exporting IP and providing unauthorized configurations to non-qualifying cars.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but you would very likely be better off trading the car for a 1SS.

I agree with arpad_m that trading your car for a 1SS would be a better option!

Not gonna happen, several of the above mentioned modules are only accessible by the dealership/GM and via the GM Global network to program those modules. GM will only flash the firmware that correlates to the VIN of the car the module is programmed to match.
