Maybe the dumb crooks are doing that, I mean, I'm sure it happens every now and then. There's no money in that, though. Only risk.

Cars of value are typically stolen and sold in foreign countries. There's an entire illegal export business around this.

It all comes down to who steals the car, some thug or a car theft ring. Unfortunately everything has become super easy to learn how to steal a car and get the tools relatively cheap online and with the relay attack or OBD hacks you don't even need to know how to pick a lock or hotwire, just run the programs you bought and your off so it's just a mad house out there.

Reported. Anyone else that has an instagram and wants to at least try to stop this **** should also report the account. They have a video where people get hit by a car doing donuts so it can be reported under “death or severe injury”. These people are stealing our cars just for the stupid clout they receive.

Not a ZLE but it's the first time I've even seen a ZL1 in a "sideshow". I have seen one doing donuts in an intersection "for the gram". Usually the cheaper cars end up in sideshows like the Chevy SS, G35, IS300, SS, CTS-V1 or V2, etc. Just recently came across a Z28 and a CT5 Blackwing doing it which is really crazy.

Blackwing ended up getting totaled.

yup its wild we have seen somebody on instagram selling parted out camaros and whole bodys for 2500$ so they steal them use them for a sideshow/takeover and then strip them down and sell them...

When I was a kid, car theft was there but not rampant. Guess that's cause thieves knew that when the cops showed up, they're skulls got a good thumping from Officer Mike's billyclub and when they got booked at headquarters, they received another ass -whipping/skull thumpin'.
