on my 3rd camaro with the same Elite CC. seemed to gather about an inch every 2500 miles on the 2015 2LT V6. A little less in the two LT1's I've had it on. I think it's a simple insurance. Been on this car since new at 22 miles.

You just use on crankcase.dirty side? On the v6 did you use the factory intake tube connector for vaccum or tap into the intake manifold? My v6 intake tube stays oily. I use crc di cleaner evey 15 -20k miles.

And this right here is why I am glad I have one on my car. Mine is my daily at 65 plus miles everyday and I am at 114k right now. Gives me piece of mind

So, are you adding oil every few thousand miles? That looks like about 2 oz.

I change my oil at about 7500 miles. probably 6 oil changes since I bought the car. I am never down on oil. at 2 oz/700 mi I should be down about 22 oz at my oil change. That has not been the case even once.

I agree with this based on my experience with my 12 Hemi Ram 1500 I used to have. I took that apart around 6 years ago before I sold it at 70k and it looked very similar to OPs picture and that engine was port injection not DI.

First time really considering it honestly. I don't know what bad would look like.

To me black is bad, less black is good.

I guess we can assume it's not pure crankcase oil, probably a mixture of oil, carbon/ash, condensed water vapor, unspent gasoline, etc. Still, stuff I wouldn't necessarily want ingested back through my intake valves.

Supercharge engines definitely need a catch can! This is my engine after 1800 miles or 3000 km from brand new, check out Garage king from Ontario Canada with his brand new Corvette instal vid.He convinced me I need one and after pulling my super charger cover, I had to agree.

Honestly, I asked the dealer to empty it when I took it in for the break in service. I assume they did, never checked. Going to start checking it monthly now though...
