Most likely.

This is pretty much the best you can do unless you are willing to completely butcher up the backside of the center console.
Gotcha... Thx, I thought I had read in a different thread a while back that in the newer year Camaro's that the charging pad was changed to accommodate larger phones. Maybe I'm thinking of something else.

Don't confuse the S21 with the S21 Ultra. The S21 isn't much bigger then the S10... .1"s only

Ah, I see, it's the charging module under the pad that was upgraded to be able to supply enough juice to charge modern phones. I did that upgrade as well, not sure if the original 2018 module would even work with these phones.

Haha, 1" is a world of difference in the constrained little universe of Camaro wireless charging pads

What about some sort of wireless charge pad / phone holder combo? Do you have the ability to 3D print? Maybe you could mock something up yourself that would accommodate a wireless charge pad and either hang off of the console or you could shape the bottom to fit in the holder at the back and create a flatter, larger surface?

There's also stuff like the ZealSoung Car Charger that might be able to be either a solution or a starting point: https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Char.../dp/B07H88Q7KJ

Not sure how well those sort of things would work with phones that won't lie perfectly flat because of the cameras.

Does anyones wireless charger in the backseat actually work? I've tried two phones on mine and no luck.

That's odd. Not sure why they would've created something that doesn't serve more market share. Oh well maybe some Apple person will benefit. Good catch.

If I take the case off my phone it still doesn't quite fit, but it will detect it and charge. It just doesn't stay in place while driving so it's not useful. Besides, I'm not going to always take the case off.

The head unit has apps for both. The dongle will run device platform-specific software because it has to launch the correct "app" in the head unit.

AAWireless, for comparison, only supports Android phones (much like the Motorola one that this thread started off with).

All right, all right I did have the S21 Ultra before my mind's eyes indeed. The S21 5G would probably fit, too, depending on the case.

As discussed above, you probably need the upgraded charging module: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...54981-9999.pdf

Since I already have the AA Wireless set up in my camaro and using pro clip to hold my phone I am now looking into purchasing a charging mount pad that will be a direct fit onto the pro clip mount to keep the phone charging while still going wireless. this is also another product from pro clip.
