Experience with PILOT SPORT A/S 3+
Does anyone here have any experience with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+?
Since I daily my car for 90% (10% counted out for bad storms and snow) I am considering these tires. I have been caught out of town in snow before and had to pull over (got stuck on flat ground) and get a tow to Hotel twice because the summer tires are completely useless, like hockey pucks. I have had experience with Continental's DWS06 personally on my old 2010 Golf GTI and i loved them. But I found them lacking in the dry handling department compared to Summer Ultra-High Performance tires (As expected). While reading and watching reviews on the DWS06 compared to the PS A/S 3+, the only thing the DWS06 does better than the PS A/S 3+ is snow cornering. Since this wont be driven in snow except for emergency situations when I don't have my jeep handy. Illinois winters are very unpredictable. Middle of January could be 60 and sunny, next day could be sub zero and blizzard. I have a set of summer rear tires for drag and street fun so summer 0-60 performance isn't a concern for me. Hope someone here has used them before and can give feedback before I make my decision and order them. Thanks in advance, Clark

Well what did you find out? I'm also in southern IL shopping for tires for my SS and have had my eye on the PILOT SPORT A/S 3+.

I have them on my M3. No snow yet, but they’ve been great in every other condition.

They were terrible in the snow we had last Thursday. The roads weren't prepped at all, but the M3 on AS3+ couldn't get up small unplowed hills. Blizzaks are going on the car this week.
