Any info is greatly appreciated as I know you are all very knowledgeable and informative, thank you!
Well, if you want to avoid any question about warranty coverage in the event of a failure, the catch can takes about 10 minutes to return to stock with no one knowing you ever had one on it. I too find it very difficult that GM would claim the catch can caused a failure. At the cost of a new engine, you wouldn't need a very good attorney to kick GM's butt over that kind of claim.

You always want to avoid court at all cost though. even if GM is dead wrong, and there is zero way a catch can OR any other aftermarket part caused the problem.

Hiring a attorney and going to court at the least will cost you time. Your car wont be fixed either, until court is over. Who knows how long that will take.

I wouldn't say "avoid at all cost". The cost of replacing the engine at the owner's expense would probably run over $10k. I believe the owner could save all the evidence, well documented by multiple experts, replace the engine at his/her own expense and expect to get reimbursement after the case is decided. If you sue for replacement plus attorney fees and court costs, I would bet GM would fold and replace it under warranty. Just my opinion, but your point is well made...thanks.

I bought my Mishimoto catch can yesterday at a good price from Ohio Speed. It should be in route now.

Well, here it is from the horses mouth. The part I install (Mishimoto catch can) would not be under warranty. (We knew This!) The Catch can does NOT void your Warranty! This is directly from a service manager at a Chevy/GMC Dealer.

Folks, make sure you check the nipples that screw into the catch can. Mine were loose, but were not moving due to the hoses. They were tight when first installed.

I had to tighten mine too, i think it's because it can't get fully tight w/out going through a few heat cycles first, and the material the nipples are made of. They're so long though and go so deep into the can that nothing leaked out so no biggie.

Mine's still working great after 3000 miles and is saving so much oil from going into my clean manifold.

Help

[QUOTE=Mishimoto;9012560]Looks great! Thanks for posting the images.

John,
I have a 2016 convertible. It does not appear the catch can bracket will work with the additional brace installed from the factory. If you have a fix for that I will keep the catch can I purchased from you. If not, I would like to return it. I have had no luck contacting anyone from the Mishimoto website. Please help!
