No Mobil 1 on the SS from factory, Dexos AC Delco blend from the factory.

Myth. Many cars, including the Corvette with the exact same engine come with full synthetic factory fills...

For 2014 and 2015 it was 3 oil changes up to 24k miles, plus the 5yr/100k, it's now 2 oil changes up to 24k miles, and 5yr/60k miles. I am rather disappointed in GM cutting the powertrain warranty down to 60k from 100k.

You can negotiate it as part of the deal, I'll be asking them to throw in full scheduled maintenance for the duration of the factory drivetrain warranty if I can't get them down to my price.

The 2 free are what GM provides for the dealer. Anything else on top is the dealer's decision, which is why you see some people have gotten more oil changes.

Just being cheap.lol.... but if the engineers are going to tell us that the blend is the best maybe we should stick with that, but my preference is full syn... makes u wanna pull your hair out don't it,lol.... most vette drivers use full syn....

yea I was too but most automakers have that same warranty and at least most of them operate under the delusion that they are the best... I paid extra to get 100,000 mile, cause hell if infotainment breaks it's 3000, push button start is at least 1000.... all these bells and whistles especially on 2ss....

can you show me a link where any GM engineer has said that the blended ac delco dexos is "THE BEST"????

just because the recc it in the manual, does not mean it's the best, just the best for them, marketing and financially.

Amsoil would be a true full syn. Mobil one is close but not the right group (unless this changed in the last few years)

Are you serious? It's been known and debated for years, the information is all out there. Mobil 1 is good, but definitely NOT a full synthetic as they lead you to believe.

I typically run Mobil 1 as well due to true full synthetics being hard to find.

You can call it synthetic or synthetic blend, but it's most definitely not a FULL synthetic as advertised.
