I'd definitely expect smaller displacement DOHC turbos, and also hybrid systems for economy and to boost low-end torque.

Yep...its on the less desirable Camaros. The 1st and 2nd gens are the most desirable...no hatchback.

I'd take an AWD m6 v8 in a heartbeat.
Now that would be practical! (for me)

Why would they go to a top heavy bulky engine in place of a lighter, lower torquier motor?

there are lists of things I'd want to see that have no hope of ever getting done.

Here's the list of things that _could_ be done.

1. Seats that recline _all_ the way.
2. optional on-star
3. larger trunk opening.
4. better tires (the standard runflats suck for traction)
5. Factory clear vinyl wrap (like clear-bra) on the entire car. This should be the self healing variety.

6. Bonus. Isolate all plastic interior pieces so that no two pieces of plastic or plastic+metal can ever come into direct contact without being tightly screwed together at the contact point.

Do the Audi S5 or Kia Stinger look abnormal?

I think they suck in looks. May as well get a Camry.

You're right about the M6 cars. But only the SS auto gets LSD.

Rear wheel drive without LSD in snow? No thanks. Been there, done that.

That just seems to be the way they are going. Like I mentioned, the rumored engines for the mid engine vette are DOHC. Cadillac's new performance engine is DOHC. GM loves to share engines, and I think that for performance applications DOHC is going to be the way of the future. Only thing we might still see OHV design in is for trucks.

Hopefully someone smarter than me can chime in, but basically it is getting harder to put out more power NA in a large displacement engine while still passing emissions requirements. So how do you still make power without displacement? Boost.

More valves for forced induction. Personally, I prefer the current LT1 in many ways, but it's days are numbered as hybrid systems will replace it, and outperform it, and get better fuel economy.

Cost and complexity are probably going to be the main issues.

  1. Hatchback, Like Corvette C7, Tesla S P100D, Audi RS7...
  2. Storage for sunglasses
  3. More interior storage. Like Mercedes under seat bin.
  4. Locking fuel door
  5. Light in the glove compartment
And drop the belt-line, raise the roof or we'll never hear the end of it

That under seat bin is a brilliant idea

This for sure. Seems like I have a new rattle daily. Also a place to put my sunglasses and I'll be happy.

OK then lets all just put the last low end N/A torquey muscles cars in a coffin now and nail it shut!
