The Supra is priced accordingly and the market will respond by paying MSRP and above.

I read the article and thought of total rubbish... Twin turbo BMW 6 vs an NA pedestrial V6. complete toilet paper. Supra with 4 banger vs V6 1LE would be "fair". Waiting to see one in person, but so far the BMW looks good and the Supra is too ugly to own.

Value? Please show me an ugly car with collectability... and even if you could, who cares? It is ugly. Now I did own a AMC Gremlin X with the 304 V8 that qucikly went to a 390 with the 1970 dog leg port heads.... Wish I kept that, so ugly it was kinda cute, I painted it green all called it the "road toad"

Hard to compare turbo with NA, even with same HP. Turbo makes much more torque much earlier. NA needs revs to make power. Best comparison would be hot laps on a tight track where you could keep the V6 at 5k plus and see how they do. I have a V6 manual and can say it is legitimately quick, but mostly 5k+ rpm.

Torque number has to be a misprint

There is no bmw twin turbo motor that even comes close to the disparity of torque and horsepower.

Unless they confused an 8.1 litre suburban with a supra, there is no way the torque is that much higher than the hp. It doesn’t make mathmatical sense

Further down in the article, they state the following:

"Reviewing the results, we think there's a chance the peak torque output may be slightly inflated, as the transmission's torque converter likely isn’t fully locked until higher in the rev range."

They only said "Slightly" inflated and I agree. However .... its still a pretty high/unexpected number trust me .

Nice numbers indeed ... this car will be a fun one to modify the tuners will be going crazy. Youll see the return of some OG JDM tuners (like HKS)coming back into the spotlight they faded from since the 90s JDM higher HP platforms died out/went collectible.

Very much looking forward to messing around with this car.

Disagree that HKS ever went away, but you’ll be glad to see they’ve already gotten their hands on a A90.

Yeah most car enthusiest just like awesome cars regardless of what brand they are. An awesome car is an awesome car.

I hated camaro’s until GM decided to spend a billion on the chassis r&d, now I pretty much ride the camaro’s nuts on every forum I’m in because the 6th gen is in awesome car.
