Yeah definitely polish! That is probably one of the most important steps. The polish is what gives that real good mirror looking finish to it. The LSP will give it more pop and gloss as well, but the polish is the basis of that shine/gloss.

I had my ZL1 coated with Ceramic Pro. The installer recommended Reload to use occasionally after a wash. Results have been great for me. My ZL1 is a daily driver as much as possible that I do not wash often enough.

Not fully on topic but somewhat.... My question is how would Reload work on my truck windshield as a Rain X type product? Seems like a no brainer but figured this was a good place to ask....

I did try Chemical Guys Jet Seal after I saw a YouTube recommending it for windshields. Did not work well. Bugs do not come off, even seems like they stick better....

Thanks SSport16. Do you think next time around I can get away with just a polish? Or should I repeats the steps all over again? I'm probably going to do it again in November.

Polish is a base, it must be covered with a wax, sealant or coating

Thanks Glen. I meant that if next time I should, strip, wash, decontaminate and clay all over again or could I just skip to polish, alcohol prep and then apply sealant?

no need to all that again. Just do your polish, Sonax perfect finish with a rupes yellow pad is the sweet spot for these cars and IPA wipe! protection of your choice.

I appreciate that Glen. I just bought a Porter Cable 7424XP recently. Still a little afraid to use it. Where in Pompano?
