Have you noticed if they offer any extra protection from the front wheels kicking up road garbage?

not really, they might help some, i work around coral gables, (Miami) which is under "eternal" construction, the roads are broken and there are pebbles and crap all over the roads, i can still hear some rocks hitting, but it seems to be less, however not 100% protection, they do look good though.

So they had to be painted satin, correct? Love that look, want to do the same to my 1LE.

Side rocker splitters can help deflect debris from the front wheels from hitting the front of the rear quaters (area in front of rear wheels).

The wider, the more the effect. The ZL1 style seems to be a compromise between looks and functionality in this department (although varies depending upon manufacturer; below is C7 sides):

Those look good, I thought about satin black also, but settled on carbon fiber, how long have you had them?, and did you bolt them up, or used the rivets?, sorry for the questions, just got mines and wondering about longevity, quality seems great.

I've only had them on a couple weeks. I had the shop do the install. Not sure of what they used, honestly. LOL

Only put about 200 miles on the car since I had them on. Can't tell a difference, yet.

They look really nice. You had to paint them to match the other satin black goods on the 1LE? Good deal. I wouldn't want to go with the carbon fiber look. To many colors on your ride turns the car into a parade vehicle.

What should one expect to pay to have them painted satin?

Thumbs up

I added the ZL1 version rockers from C7 Carbon, painted in satin black. I also already had the GM rock guards installed on the car before I thought about adding the rockers. My local body shop was able to cut a notch on the bottom side of the rock guards and slide the rockers in under them. We then painted the bottom end of the rock guards satin black to match the rockers. We installed the rockers with rivets along the bottom and 3M double sided tape along the top. (The tape was installed on the rockers before painting them so that the top edge of the tape is black and doesn’t show.). We also had to add an extra rivet and screw at the very back end of the rockers towards the inner top as the top side tended to pull away slightly even with the double sided tape. I’m happy with how it all turned out. So far, no rock chips!!!
