Question V6 launch control?

I kee reading the forums and seeing that the v6 has launch control, then another thread says we don't have launch control...would there be a way to add it to my car through programming, or something?

On the SS, you have to be in sport or track mode. Press the traction control button twice quickly, the dash will say something about "competitive mode enabled" (don't quote me on that exactly). Push and hold the brake pedal to the floor, then stomp the gas pedal to the floor. Hold them both and your RPM's should sit right around 2,000 until you release the brake and you're off!!

I assume it comes with a SS. What about a V6? The owners manual just says "if equipped"

This is correct. Sport/Track needs to be enabled on V6 as well; only difference is that the RPM's hold around 4,000 rather than 2,000.

I suggest using the Competitive Stabilitrack Mode (2x traction button clicks) instead of turning everything off (press & hold traction button). I imagine it still works with everything off but Competitive Stabilitrak isn't going to limit much; especially in a straight-line so might as well keep it on for some added safety.
