6GenMike goes 9.0 on a 2.3!!!
6genMike got his new cage finished up on the east coast and took it to LS Fest. Even with (literally) no prep and 3300 DA his car did several 9.0’s at 153 with a baby Magnuson 2.3. Launches were in 2nd gear due to lack of prep/traction.
Car made 981whp on Steven Rankins dyno. No port injection needed.  Best thing is he has video/proof/and backed it up.

Nope not possible on the 2.3. you have to have a 2650 or it's all fairy tales and fiction.

Yep, I was right beside him on a couple passes. The car is bitchin fast and big top end, he was 6 mph faster then mine and almost 4 tenths quicker.

He dumped Mike right at the end and only ran 111 mph, typical bracket racer. It was a 9 second Malibu.

Mike is going to do what I did, Permatex makes a High Tack cement that I used and mine did not move a you know what hair. My car was dead hooking with 1.35 and 1.36 launches. He was also launching in 2nd gear because it wouldn't hook in 1st. His tires moved about an inch or so if I remember correctly
