Buttonwillow Run 1

Speed through to 6:50 to where the Jag goes off track and the next 3 or 4 laps is where my fastest times are behind that modified RX8 with the LS3 engine.. That guy was smoking quick.. pushed to try to stay up with him..

My best lap was 2:05. Another youtube guy says he can do 1:57 I doubt it was true.. Different day and cooler but looking at the times and comparing to the ZL1/1LE his times where in 1:50s..

Buttonwillow Run2

Best times 2:05 to 2:07 open track nothing in front.
Go to 5:17 on the video.. a Tesla was pissing me off in the first laps...

Then a spin-out blew a corner entry speed at 11:35

Buttonwillow run 3

Speed to 7:26 on video look how close the photographer is.

My times where decent. Best laps were 2:05 to 2:08

Spun off track to missed my mark coming off corner entry my right side tires hit the middle rumble strip all of a not just kissing it. Eat a bunch of dirt thrown inside the car. Go to 17:51 on the video. Normally never spin out but I did that day.

Buttonwillow Run 4

Ran about 80 percent. Concetrated on hitting my marks better and besides did not want to push harder as slick and greasy the track was on a 100+ day.

I used Harrys Lap timer with video just have not fiqured out the video overlay. All my times can be found on Race Hero app. Look for SV Buttonwillow for Sep 7 Sat im in the black group.

Hope you guys enjoyed some of the videos.. It was fun just too damn hot.

1:57 is definitely doable. I did on smaller (285 square) Bridgestone RE71Rs. That probably offsets my increase in power...

Perhaps but most guys were lucky to crack 2 minutes that day. Looking back on the time data. Most were running sub 2:00 that are street stock.

Even the guy running that RX-7 with the LS3 engine was flying could not make it happen.

Perhaps with no impeding traffic on a much cooler 70 Degree day vs 100+ temps in the shade. After the warm-up lap, anything past 4 laps the tires went greasy and pushed all the way on the sweeper with understeer. Tried different PTM settings but the car would not rotate with throttle steering.

Last time I was out at Buttonwillow I had a GEN5 1LE on cool winter day and it did rotate very well.

Next time it will be my goal to crack to 2:00 mark in the month of Dec.

OP have fun in Germany with that car..

First time out on road coarse. Was amazing fun at gingerman raceway tnia. Kept my street tires on ps4s in 325/295 sizing on stock wheels. Tires really surprised me how well they performed and how neutral they feel like the stock Goodyear sc3. Very even wear. I’d guess they offer about 95% of the pace of the good years but much better in rain and when cold and quieter. First time on road coarse so in novice group. Got a couple clean laps in last session until my brakes started pulsing and pedal went hard feeling. Put fresh motul 660 in before event. Brakes came back after cool down.
Really feels like you’re destroying the car with all the sounds and heat!! Guess it’s normal but brakes have me concerned
We’ll i can’t get pdr video to load. Here’s a snap of best lap time and top speed on longest straight. ( for reference I think most stock 1le are 122-125 on the straight). I have built heads and cam motor and wondering if stock brakes will be up to the task of extra speed or just need better fluid possibly?

Do you have lap time data? The attachment appears to be a pdf of an image of your PDR, but it’s showing 50 something seconds, which isn’t possible at Gingerman in a Camaro.

Great stuff, thanks for posting! Are your tires both 30/20? Note that 325 is a bit big for an 11 inch rim.

Tire sizes are 325/25/20 and 295/25/20 Michelin ps4s Work great on stock wheels. I was told the Michelin’s measure narrow compared with a lot of 325. I live in Indiana with lots of potholes so I keep the 36 to 38 psi because sharp impacts are harsher

Good to see another SS 1LE in the Houston area! Do you have any lap times or onboard video footage? How did you like The Drivers Edge? They were the first group I ever tracked with. I'm hoping to get back to MSRH later this year to try CCW. All of the events I have been to there since I got the car have been CW.
