Looks out of fuel to me. Mine still was making power clear out to 6400 rpm.

Good catch King. I just pulled my dyno run and I’m in the same boat as you. Zero dip in HP from 6000-6400 RPM, and I specifically remember we had to add fuel up top to make that happen (it had started to dip on earlier dyno runs).

With all do respect, what are you seeing that makes you think it’s out of fuel after it was just dialed in by one of the most reputable tuners in the south?

Would the lt4 fuel system be much more beneficial with out the corresponding cam/fuel lobe upgrade?

I don’t want to speak for King, but your pull is flat from 5700 up, and noses over even more at 6200. My dyno run continues to gain from the same 5700 up to 6100, and held it dead flat until 6400. I saw a similar drop up top on an earlier dyno run before we added more fuel, and that fixed it.

Yes, worth the upgrade. You really cannot turn up the boost anymore with upgrading the fuel system IMO.

Like Josh said. The fact that the power dips and goes flat after 5700rpm. Whipple's normally peak higher then that and carry power better.

The torque shouldn't be that much higher then the horsepower either.

I am going to be honest and say Reputable tuner of the South means nothing in 2019. I have seen so much hackery done to these cars it's not funny. These shops pray on ignorance. No offense I am just trying to help you maximize the performance and longevity of your investment.

I think that KingLT1 might be right about your fuel system having an issue. I know a shop that did a Whipple on an LT1 with long tube headers and the stock fuel system was indeed running out on that car. Also will mention that on my car, using a base supercharger and stock exhaust, the stock hpfp was already dropping pressure, even though it was making less hp than yours. The fact is, the stock LT1 fuel systems often get tapped out sooner than some guys on the internet say that they will.

I know it hasn't been mentioned yet here, so I'll just add that you should tune the FSCM as well. The stock SS settings are different than the ZL1 settings. Tweaking that can help your low side pressure a bit, but adding the LT4 in tank pump is a no brainer anyway. But you should tune the FSCM regardless.

Thank you guys for your input and concern. Thats what this forum's for.

Ill be reaching out to my tuner this morning. I may even have another shop plug it in and get a second opinion.

Beautiful setup! Welcome to the fun.

Everything King said above makes perfect sense. I had very similar experience with results. I started with almost the identical setup that you are running. It didn't take long and I decided to be safer I would add the fuel (LT4 HPFP, Zl1 in-tank pump, LT4 injectors, and JMS Voltage booster).

Once I decided to go that deep, I added the cam and forged internals so I could play a little more. With the JRE cam, I am able to run full pump e-85 (which I find to be closer to e70 where I live). I can also drop down and run 93 octane with no problems.

The cam makes a massive difference in allowing better air flow and even if you don't up the boost, running around 8psi after the cam and you are in the 700whp range. It's pretty spectacular...

Anyway, enjoy the new ride because it's going to be a blast to drive just like you have it.
