10 speed trans

From what I understand about the 10 speed trans, the WOT shifts points are MPH controlled not RPM. Anyone know where the speed sensor is? Is it calculated off the front wheel? rear wheel? . That info would help me determine what affect a (small I know) 1 inch shorter tire or 1 inch taller tire actually would do to WOT shifts RPM unless I am wrong and the TCM WOT shifts are set by RPM.

On the 8L90, there is both an rpm and an mph threshold table for WOT, and my understanding is whichever respective value in either table is hit first will be used to trigger the shift.

Also, I don't think the newer 10-speeds with the T93 TCM can actually be tuned at all, the T87A is the last tunable GM transmission.

Hopefully some of the pros here have a definitive answer for you.

The previous generation T87a TCM can be used to "tune" the current '20+ 10L90E 10-speed auto trans

Both 8 speed and 10 speed trans have RPM and MPH based shift tables. Both still shift based on MPH. The RPM tables do virtually nothing.
