There are lots of 5th gens whose drivers don't typically pay much attention. On the other hand, I had a Hellcat slot in with me at the light the other day and we expressed mutual respect with some throaty revs and a wave.

I dunno, I would've killed for Shock. There's nothing subtle about a ZLE. Might as well get a "****ING LOOK AT ME" color too.

Everyone has their own tastes, and shock to me looks like if they ran a yellow highlighter over Kermit the Frog's skin. I'd take a ZL anything in black or grey, but that is my taste. I went white on my LT1, helps with the 95°F-105°F days we tend to get out here.

I've gotten more comments in a drive thru than anywhere else, actually. A few stares from old men in Kia SUVs at the stoplight too.

I try, but it's so hard to see other drivers if they wave back.

My tint is double layered 2%, so it never happens at a stoplight (I can't be seen), so sometimes someone will rev and I'll give a rev or 2 back. But if someone waves at me, I'll always throw up a couple of fingers from the wheel no matter what they drive. I've never waved or revved at anyone first though.

In my area everyone seems to wave regardless of what Im driving. I always wave.

took it out for a spin not too long ago and ended up behind a ZLE. Got beside em on the highway, threw a thumbs up. He gave me a weird look and took the next exit.

Around here most car enthusiasts acknowledge one another by either a wave or headlight flash. That includes everything from hot rods to classic muscle to current Camaros, Mustangs and Challengers. The exception being Corvettes, trucks and foreign. Sometimes even non-performance convertibles wave since mine is a vert. Yes, I reciprocate or initiate.

I never get waves either in central Florida. It’s not the same mentality as corvette owners.
