I hate to admit it but im going to have to trade my Camaro in

I LOVE Camaros but I just cant take these issues with the shuddering and transmission anymore. Ive gone through 3 flushes, a new catalytic converter, and now a replaced transmission sensor all with a span of 2 years. Before I bought my Camaro I test drove a Challenger, Mustang, Camaro and Corvette. Me and my girlfriend both agreed that the Camaro overall hands down was the best car out of all these models. Today is a sad day because I am coming to the realization that its gonna get traded in. The Camaro is a beautiful car but the problems outweigh the fun at this point. A man can only take so much. I'll always carry the sweet memories of smoking other cars in races.

I had the shudder and a bunch of other early issues on my 2016 2SS when I bought it new. I traded it after a year. I enjoyed it but could not deal with the issues and there was no potential fix back then. Now I am back in a 2021 ZL1 and so far so good. The A10 is a totally different beast as is the LT4. I hope it stays trouble free since I really enjoy the car.

6 speed manual is shudder-free, zero problems in 2 years of ownership and purchased new. Word is A10's don't shudder, but there are few out there with enough miles to confirm. Good luck with whatever you choose,

This is what I did in 2018.

I ordered my 2016 with the A8 and nearly every option. It was my dream build. After the first flush and converter change, I traded it for a 2018 with M6.

Before I when SS again, I looked at the Challenger 392, Corvette Z51, BMW M2 and Audi A5. The SS was still the best combination of value, performance and comfort for a car that would be driven. I almost went with the A5 but the performance drop was to significant.

It was hard to let my 2016 go but I ate the depreciation and moved on.

This was my 2016 build that I ordered from BeckyD ...it also had the first blade spoiler. I went Hot Wheels 2SS M6 in 2018 and then with the 2020 2SS 1LE M6 (to get Rally Green).

The Camaro is so good I didn't want to walk away and am glad I didn't.

I had an A8 that I traded in around the time the latest and greatest flush was coming out. I’d already had the first flush done and my car was running fine, but didn’t have confidence in the new fluid. I have to say I loved the A8 rifle shift at WOT. There a ton of people that have no issues with theirs since the flush, as well as people that are boosted. The reality is the A8 is a great tranny (it sounds like it’s even better when tuned). For me, there are some aspects of the A8 I prefer over the A10, and vice versa. I’d have no problem grabbing a low low mileage A8 Camaro, if it was a good deal.

OP sorry you had so many issues…

As others said, if you loved the car besides the A8 issues then get a Camaro with an M6 or A10. A10 is a great transmission and huge improvement over the A8.

Instead of trading it in you could file a lemon car lawsuit and get GM to by the car back and you might get more money back

I have an A8 and always use manual mode and shift myself. Keeping it in automatic is boring unless I'm flooring it

Would lemon law apply to this old a car, though? Isn’t it only applicable for the first year or two?
