M6 Transmission Fluid

Anyone have a certain brand they recommend that is better than the GM standard fluid?

Less notchy cold shifting, longer lasting, lower temps.

How long are the intervals before you should change them out?

I'd say 20-30k miles. Depends on how you drive the car of course.

Basically just in town driving and the occasional 1/4 mile track run here and there.

I went with Royal Purple Max ATF in mine, it shifts a lot smoother than the OEM fluid now.

Amsoil SS ATF. Better cold performance and less clunky shifts.

That wouldn't void the warranty if something were to go wrong with it would it?

If they can prove your transmission failed due to improper spec fluid, then yes. Be careful what you post on the internet too. Make sure it meets or exceeds whatever GM spec is and you should be fine

You should be fine with either as they both meet the gm spec as lon as you get the right one. You can go to amsoil and they will tell you the exact fluid for your vehicle.
