CAGS (Skip Shift) eliminator?

Did any vendor come up with CAGS eliminator for Gen6 Camaro yet?
If anyone knows of one, please let me know. Thanks!

I always wondered if this was a big deal. I have read so many posts about the skip shift and I have found on my 1SS it really is not that big of a deal. I have only had it tell me to go to 4th gear once while driving and noticed you can still go to the 3rd anyways. The reason I bring this up is to maybe understand why so many people really need the skip shift eliminator? Maybe my driving style is more aggressive in first gear?

It's a bigger deal on cars that prevent you from going into second. I don't have an SS, but isn't the warning just that... a warning, but you can still shift into second if you want?

I've seen the warning several times on the display but it's never forced me into 4th. My other Camaro's Gen 4 and 5 all made me go into 4th if I babied it.

Unless it's been changed from the Corvette C5 & C6 the CAGS forces you to shift to 4th. I don't care for it in slow traffic or turning a corner slowly and want to shift out of first. You're going too slow for 4th and will lug car down.

CAGS slips out a pin in the gear box to force the gear shift from 1st to 4th. GM has used CAGS on all 6 speed manual transmission/V8 engine combos since the 1990 Corvette ZR1.

If GM has done away with this pin and just uses an advisory in the DIC, that's a win/win/win for everyone!!

In my short drive so far in the new Camaro the 1->4 came up a few times, but easily shifted into second, third, etc. Definitely a smooth shift, wasn't forcing anything.

Curious if anyone can confirm that it locks the gear or just simply displays a warning? Maybe it was just on and I went over the RPMs to avoid it? Hmm.

How do you know it didn't exactly?

Definitely, but I'm pretty sure they haven't either.

Ive gotten the warning and no pin but I've also gotten the warning and was forced into 4th. I would say out of the 2 months I have had it I have only gotten the warning maybe 20 times and only forced into fourth maybe 10. There was one time where I got the warning but must have shifted weird and with the clutch all the way down I made it into the second spot but it wouldnt let in it go into gear. its was grinding the gear like I was going into second without the clutch pushed. I had to pull back into neutral then fourth.

I also noticed that it allowed me to go into 3rd, which is different than with my C5 and C6. (before putting in CAGS eliminator)
I know you can shift out of 1st either earlier or much later, to avoid it, and I know it doesn't bother some people.

Well, it does bother me, so I want to find a solution to give me a FULL freedom to shift the way I want.

Anyone has either harness or fuse for this yet?

Unless the new Alpha architecture has changes so significant the old harness won't fit anymore, here's the harness for the 5th gen Camaro SS:

When I first got the car I had it lock out 2nd on my a lot. Tgen I just started holding in 1st gear longer. The message will still come up but if you pass a certain rpm you can go to 2nd

I've seen the message pop up a few times but it still seems to let me shift into 2nd. I never even noticed the skip shift... I guess I'm driving to aggressive =)

That's what I'm saying. Even though the message pops up it has never forced my into 4th.
