Camaro is getting Quite???????

Hi all. I recently noticed id say maybe with in the last month or so my car seems to be gettingmore quiet when im just driving around. When I first got it last January it had 32000 miles on it. It now has 35000 miles on it and it runs fine but the exhaust seems not as loud. She has a CAI on her no tune and muffler delete. What could cause this. I have cleaned the throttle body and I have had 2 half tanks of 100 octane racing gas mixed with 91 octane gas. Did that only 2 times. Could the cats be dirty or is it something else?

You are probably just adjusting to the sound.

You're in Nebraska. It's probably getting cold up there. If you roll up your windows, it can make you think your car is quieter..lol.

There is actually some truth to the cold weather, air density and sound waves and all that kind of stuff. Though i don't think it's that cold there yet. But that was my experience when i lived in the mid west.

Ok I now for a fact that it's not in my head and im not going deaf. She sounded alot louder when I first got her so something happened. I'm going to just deal with it for now untill I get the Cat Delete and new exhaust and all the other goodies I want. I just wanted to be sure there wasn't a serious problem. Ty all

Uh, it IS in your head. You're just getting used to it. It's not some voodoo witchcraft.

When we, humans, get used to something we tend to not notice it as much. These are facts.

Sounds like you need some headers though

Cat delete will definitely make it louder too.

Sorry you could be going deaf. Going deaf does not happen over night. It is gradual. Some cause of deafness is loud music, loud machinery, loud exhausts and others. Any noise over 85 or 95dbs ( do net remember which) can cause a hearing loss. By the national noise standards in a work place if the dbs is 85 or 95 they had to provide hear protections.
Right my hearing is so bad that the Camaro has to be turned up full blast for me to hear it. This did not happen over night. In the city where used to live at if your car radio was at the limit with windows closed they could give you a ticket for excessive noise.

My SS is much louder now than it was when I first put my Solos on 5 years ago.
Carbon build up should make it louder. It has in my case, almost to the point of
being a bit much.
