Camaro Surprise at Car Show
We went to the Muscle Car drags yesterday. Part of the day is a car show. I came across this 1st Gen Camaro, took a peek inside and...
... I was surprised to find a 5th Gen Interior. The guy had the seats, console, and I think, back seat out of a late model Camaro. It looked nice. Fit well. Looked like he might have a little prob mounting the console lid, but over all, a nice fit. Which just goes to show how similar these cars can be.

Interesting. It's got to be a tight fit.

It actually looked like it all fit perfectly. I was very surprised. Nothing was pinched or tight. None of it was hacked up. I had to do a double take.. it was kind of weird.. 1st gen dash, 2nd gen steering wheel, 5th gen seats and console. We looked for 3rd and 4th gen stuff, but we were stumped.

That would be a heck of a thing. A first gen, modded to incorporate something from each subsequent generation...
Looks good, thanks for sharing Red |

Not real sure about the headrests sticking up beyond the door sill without a b-pillar post. It cuts the open line of the window.

If I had the money, I would like to retro fit a '69 body to my ZL1. Have the look of a classic but modern technology of today. Pure RestoMod.

There were a bunch of Camaros at the track this weekend. Speaking of Restomods, there was a 1st Gen with an LS3 engine, and 5th Gen Brembos. It was one of the nicest restomods I've ever seen. I took 1000s of photos, and I need to go through them and find some pics of that car. I had a great time. Between the racing, the car show and the swap meet, I couldn't decide where to go. It is a gearhead's perfect day! The car show was great. They had about 60 cars entered, with everything from Model Ts to late model muscle. Swap meet had a lot of junk, but some jewels mixed in. The racing was outstanding... and the reason everyone was there! Here are a few more pics from the day.....

A 5Gen, on the outside, is not very much bigger than a 1Gen actually. The 5Gen fills the footprint more completely and the illusion is a much larger car.
