Same here! lol I had a Wrangler and an STI as my two vehicles before this SS and waves and thumbs up all around was the norm. I have given the thumbs up to about three Camaros since I bought mine a few weeks ago, and I see nothing but stares back. 😐👎🏼

Coming from the Jeep and motorcycle worlds, I didn't expect any Camaro waves or anything but I always nod, smile or otherwise acknowledge a cool vehicle (doesn't have to be a Camaro, could be a WRX or M3).

I always give a wave and I usually get a wave and/or horn toot back. I am also used to doing this from having a Jeep.

I usually pull up my shirt as I drive by; but since the window sill is so high no one can see so no one does it back to me.

I have tried to wave as well, but I would say I have a less than 10% success rate in getting a response. I also agree that more 'Vette owners are likely to acknowledge the Camaro. A lot of 6 cyl. people could just as well be driving a Cruze for all they know, but there are some great 6 cyl. owners too. And I agree that some Gen5 guys don't even know that we Gen6 folks are driving a Camaro. I have been asked by Gen5 owners what I am driving....

Nobody in a 5th Gen has waved at me, expect one older guy with a 5th Gen SS did like me car and we talked for a minute. But to be honest, nobody in any other car waves at me either.

I'm not sure if I'll wave or give a thumbs up when I get my Camaro, not because I'm being anti-social, but because if visibility is that bad looking out, the other driver may not see me give them a wave or a thumbs up.

I drove Corvettes and rode motorcycles for many years. Those are both good for waves or shooting a two down low. I have had Camaros on and off for decades, and never really noticed it being a waving car. I'll wave back, but won't start it in a Camaro.

I always give a two finger wave/peace sign with my hand at the top of the steering wheel. Haven't gotten one back yet from a Camaro owner, but it's not terribly visible so understandable. Have had a few responses when in my Subie, and a ton when I had a VW. I never even bothered to try when I drove BMWs, though - most of those drivers are just a-holes (but I DID use my turn signals, so I wasn't a typical driver).

I don't wave, but if I identify a 2.0T or a V6 and we are next to each other at a light, I blip the throttle to remind them that they bought the wrong one.

Every now and then I will chunk the duece but most times other Camaro owners will keep going. I've had many people roll their window down at a stop light and ask what is a 1LE. I was in Mississippi and a guy in a 4th Gen pass me and he honked his horn and gave me a thumbs up so I honked back. I think the reason no one does this is because they are focused on the drive which I totally understand.

There's a shock green LT1 owner in my neighborhood that glares at me whenever he sees me so I've given up waving. Apparently seeing a ZLE reminds him that he bought the wrong one too!

Probably likes your color more after his "shock" wore off and he realized his paint job is a generic Kermit the frog special.
