I found this on hot rod.com who interviewed Aaron Link.

The car’s overall profile is similar, but lower and with an even more pronounced fastback look. Side windows are still short—at around 10 inches tall from the top of the door to the roof—and the trunk opening is still quite small, both concessions to the sleek design. When asked about the outward visibility, one of the fifth-generation Camaro’s biggest criticisms, Link admitted, “It’s certainly a hot button with people. Every time we’d do a clinic or styling exercises that have a bigger daylight opening, people universally said, ‘No, don’t do it. Don’t compromise the style.’” The sixth-generation car does have better forward and downward visibility, along with a roof-mounted frameless rearview mirror to help reduce blind spots.

Was the Camaro Development Team at the reveal? I only see pics of GM executives standing next to the cars, but none of the normal suspects. Just curious.

Thanks. Of course I reserve the right to change my mind after I drive it. It might just be exciting enough to make up for any perceived shortcomings. On a positive design note, there is some nice design detail on this car that I admired.

lol 275hp 4 banger is a stout motor, if you've driven any modded cobalt SS you'll understand.

Does anyone else think it looks way too much like a Dodge form this angle? Almost like a Charger.



I'm not sure how I feel about this design yet. From some angles I like it and from others i hate it. Maybe it will grow on me when I see it in person. It just seems watered down to me at this point. The LT1 SS will be a great performer though, that's for sure.

I can see that. The 2016 looks a lot like my G35 Coupe from the side, which I have no problem with. That's what the 2016 will be replacing after almost 10 years.
