Replacing Tires: Those with Staggered Set Up
For those of you with staggered tires, do most of you replace the rears when they are worn down with fronts as well or just the rears if the fronts still have some tread left?
My rears are basically slicks (about 2/32nds tread) while the fronts have about 4/32'nds. These are Michelin Pilot All Season's. It's summer and I don't drive the car in heavy rain so I am sure I can get another 2000 to 4000 miles out of the rears which might wear another inch or two down on the fronts. Just wondering for those who've gone with brand new rears and have fronts 4/32nd's or thereabouts. Did you regret not getting a full brand new set. Obviously if this was winter here in Wash DC, I'd just get a full set but the fronts still have life in them. |

Not going to hurt anything by replacing only the rears, but I would probably just do all 4. 4/32” isn’t much and you’ll be doing those soon enough. It’s not enough difference that you’ll do 2 sets of rears for one set of fronts.

Depends on age, my PS4's are approaching five years and it shows, they have become much easier to break loose than when new.
