Thanks G Fo12ce and Laborsmith. I actually did go to TrueCar before coming back this evening to check in and I got better numbers to work with and you're right on the money with options being 91% MSRP.

Total invoice price now looks more like $44042 though I did realize my math was off a tad and I wasn't considering the destination charge or regional advertising fees. We all know destination is $995 and TrueCar says the regional is $874 (regardless of if I put in Tallahassee or, for example, Michigan). I would hope some of that could be excused, most likely the latter.

Tax and such should be around $3000. I'm still not scared off yet, I just have to wait a little bit more to be able to place a deposit. My current '12 had a fuel injection pump issue that essentially evaporated what I had been saving so I won't have a deposit ready until the 15th at the earliest. I'm sure Becky is super busy so I don't want to bother her until I'm really serious.

I made an update to the spreadsheet. Cell C27 "Grand Total" was adding in 8% for my local sales tax. I now made it factor in whatever is put in cell C24 "Sales Tax" so it will work for everyone. Thanks to Daniel Barak who commented on Dropbox to point this oversight out.

So I have a question for you guys. I'm in the army and currently in Korea, I've briefly tried to contact some local dealers in Central NY and they haven't seemed to be any help. I have a specific camaro in mind and have told them what it was and they keep saying well we have this this and this coming in August when you will be here and I keep telling them that's not what I'm looking for. So I guess what I'm getting at is how long will it take from placing an order until it actually gets delivered? My next station will be in NC and I really don't want to wait for it to be build once there in September and it seems as if I cannot do anything about having one built and ready for pickup when I get back. Any suggestions on what I could do?

I suggest you give Becky D. at Rodgers Chevrolet in Woodhaven, MI a call. She's a forum sponsor but takes orders from all over the US and does not mess around when it comes to getting you what you want and keeping you informed. Check the order status thread sticky, find one of her posts, and give her a call. That's your best bet.

As for timeframe, the factory just started building the '17 model year cars this week and they have about a 3-week queue of orders ready to go. Orders going in now are likely to get into production week 6/27 but possibly two weeks later as the factory is taking a break for two weeks at the beginning of July.

Rough guess is 4-6 weeks total once the factory starts building. If you order now, you're probably looking at around late August or early September for delivery. You can pick up with Becky or she can deliver to a local dealer near you (or ship it directly to your front door if you so desire).

IT's going to be my first build to order car and I just want a white SS low gloss black rims with MRC and NPP, would like a 2SS with the ceramic white interior but I don't want to go to much more than 40k so idk if it's possible. I've seen 2SS's in like KY for around 41k with those options.

My current order is my first ordered car as well. I've gone through the buying process 4 times now and this has been by far the easiest experience yet. Regardless of what you do, I hope you get what you're looking for.

One week summer break this year instead of the normal two week break.

The 2016 model year began production in the middle of October last year and ended the first week of June this year.

And definitely contact Becky. You know going in she will have an excellent sense of the timing as to when to order and she gets enough allocations to meet your timing need.

Yep you will definitely be hard pressed to find that on a lot somewhere. Same thing with mine. Becky is quite reasonable on delivery costs to NC if you want to pick up down here when you report in.
