Post OBD Readers - and results

This thread is dedicated to the OBD II connection in the 6th generation Camaro.

First and foremost: Yes, I am aware of the PDR feature, but i want logging.

I use OBDLink MX to bluetooth my car to the phone.
The MX version has extra features for Ford and Chevy vehicles.

Those features include:
  • Oil Temp
  • Oil Pressure
  • Trans Temp
  • Oil Life (laughable)
  • Wheels speed sensor data
  • Speed
  • RPM
  • Basically, it reads the CAN-BUS system for the car.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Question: Has anyone had success mapping the throttle position in a 3rd-party app?

Thanks!

You get all of that data and more with the PDR file and the free version of Pi Toolbox from Cosworth. Pi Toolbox is not the same as the GM Toolbox.

Interesting... could you elaborate?

My PDR only outputs an .MP4
I don't see any associated files.

Yes, what Move'n Up said. The .MP4 file contains all the data with the video.

Copy that, love everything about it and download it already.

Still the question remains...

Has anyone had throttle and brake input and OBD reader?

Yes to throttle position. It's one of the standard SAE OBD codes. There doesn't appear to be a GM pid available for braking that I can find, but I did come across this youtube video where he has braking overlay on his video...
