Shelby GT350R vs ZL1 Video

I had a blast at this Mustang Club event. No hero times, but good fun.

Hardly takes a 350R to lose to a 6th Gen. I routinely beat the 350R at Sebring in my SS 1LE. The 'standard 350 is even worse. They go into 'limp mode' every time about 12 minutes into each session.

After watching both videos, I'm seeing some "street mentality" (mainly in the S550 Mustang drivers) - inside tires being more than a whole foot away from the edge of the apex curbing in a lot of cases (especially the left that follows the start/finish line). Some of it may have been from "following the leader" instead of the line.

I gotta say, many of those guys had no courtesy out there. I think they thought they were racing...was it a regular HPDE or some kind of time trial? Was there some reason they were all being jerks or what?

I think they didn't want to get passed by a Camaro. There were some big egos, but overall everyone was cool.

Ya, a lone ZL1 shows up to a Mustang event...what else is there to expect lol Typical stuff when not so experienced folks dont want to get passed, start overdriving corners and paying too much focus to rear view mirrors...Looked like friendly fun tho.

In a few months, I'm going to a Shelby Club event at PittRace, never been to this track. Nice to know going in, these Shelby people are not going to take too kindly to my ZL1 1LE giving them chase...at least I'll be prepared after watching this video...

Most GT350 owners simply have less track time. Even the ”instructors” had crappy lines and over slowed in most corners.
