2019 Camaro V6 air intake strange noise.
I recently bought a new 2019 Camaro V6 and since day one, here and there, when the car is idle I hear a very strange and annoying sound coming from the engine air intake. Does anyone know what this might be? The dealership says its normal but I desagree. Help!

This isn't normal at all, my 6th gen V6 never made this sound. Sorry I can't help with the fix, but you may want to try a different dealer.

I'm not familiar with how the 3.6 is laid out, but from the video it sounds like a fan, possibly the fan on the radiator? Shouldn't be humming like that for sure. Find a new dealer.

I went with my car to the Dealership 4 times. They replaced the intake air box but the problem remained. GM send an engineer but he could not resolved the issue. When turning off the engine the sound contiunus for a secound. It sounds like a default fan. Any information or opinions would be more then welcome!!!

That is 100% the radiator fan making the sound.

It seems to be a faulty fan but not the radiator. It's really annoying and it does not happen every time i drive the car. You can hear it when the car is idling.

So finally a GM engineer came to the dealership, again to analyze the problem. They are now replacing the oil pump. Im scheduled for next week. Lets see if after a year and 11,000 miles I will have my problem resolved.

The problem wasn't resolved. GM engineers replaced the oil pump and few other parts. Nothing resolved the problem. They wanted to replace the engine with a refurbished one. I said no. I have this problem since day one, i can only accept a new engine. They refused. This is how GM deals with their customers.
Unbelievable but GM engineers don't know what it is! |

Does GM think you’re stupid? You’ve given them more than enough opportunities to find out what’s wrong and fix! To bad for them! I hate to say it,”Lemon law” should be your next option. A remanufactured engine replacement is not what you signed up for when you made this purchase.
