Massive a/w intercooled intake and interchiller data

G1pro is making this thing for me. Can’t wait to see it all finished up. That core is 10” wide, 17” long and 6” thick. I am going to use an “interchiller” which cools the intercooler fluid below freezing. Iat’s should be stupid low.

Nice, but be aware anything lower than 45*F and the fuel spray from the injectors will form droplets and slow the burn, etc. Ideal is in the 50's.

Thanks. Now I have a target.

It has been pointed out to me by a couple of people those very short runners may hurt me a little. The cold air will help more than the runners hurt. It will be interesting to see where the numbers go. I may bolt the intake on without water and keep the air/air just to make a few dyno pulls and see what it does.

There should be some drive pressure savings once I remove my air/air. I am seeing a significant pressure drop across that unit. Then again maybe not since it will be pushing just as much or more air just at a lower pressure. Anyways, I will have lots of data to share eventually.

What core is he using in there? Lots of work building a manifold like that so be sure that you're using the right components. (Note: Not sure what you're using, but Bell are not an effective A/W cooler)

Pretty sure it is a bell. How did you come to your conclusion?

We test lots of A/W coolers and the range of performance with aftermarket coolers is pretty big. The bell will provide a nice low pressure drop across the core, but their effectiveness (cooling ability) on the samples I've tested are on the lower end (about 60-65%)

Core size definitely impacts the effectiveness and it looks like you have a pretty big core, since it's nearly finished you'll have data from it soon!

Jeez thats crazy. Gonna have to cut hood for it but you are already yolo mode.

As far as IAT’s we worked with pro meth to do a quad nozzle setup through the lid of the Maggie 2300. Dropped temps 41 degrees over last year. Wont ever have to use an ice box, anything, etc and its back to back to back repeatable. Did you have meth on yours before?
