Oil Change. 2 or 3?

So coming up on 1 year late next month.

Got an email from Chevy that I have 2 free oil changes available.

Guess I thought wrong that I had a total of 3 over 36,000 miles.

Thoughts?

I'd use none and do it yourself so you know it is actually getting done right.

Not sure what the manufacturer deal is though, I think the number has changed since 2016

It's 2 within 24,000 miles starting in 2016. My dealer can be trusted and they let me walk right up while their doing it. I supply my own oil and filter and they change $20 for the change. No way I'm on my back on the ground and dealing with the mess to save $20.

just make sure the dip stick shows oil where it's supposed to and that your quarter panels near the bottom where it flares out and meets the door are still flush with the door on both sides when you leave.

Most common issue with oil changes is not putting enough in and lifting the car incorrectly and bending your quarter panels (leading to a noticeable gap when looking back to front along the side of your car where the fender now flares out beyond the door)

Ok. Can you let me know why you would provide your own oil and filter?

And these 2 are not free?

Really?

They do not put in enough oil?

Front quarter panels?

I've owned quite a few cars, my worst experiences was with Pontiac (Trans Am) and now my Camaro.

Hummer was amazing service, still is when I bring it in.

Agita (Translation from Italian = Heartburn).

Considering it's 10 quarts of full synth I would let them do the two free. I would buy jack pads and install them first though so they lift it properly. I work in auto parts so I get my oil dirt cheap and I buy the filter at my local dealer so they have a record of filter purchases to go along with OnStar resets. Mine only takes 5.5 quarts and I can do it under $20 so I do it myself quicker then it takes me to drive there. And mine is a 2016 and I was offered 2.

Jack pads?

So looked around and found ZL1Addons. Is this something that you keep on the car permanently? Or you have to put them on before you get service?

Right place. Get ones that stay on permanently. Then point them out to a service guy before they hoist the car.
This is actually quite crucial as pointed out above.
