Coil pack paint

Bored and looking for a little project this winter. Thinking about painting the coil packs. Any particular brand that’s better than others. What temp high heat paint should one go with? 500*, 1200*?

Thanks

When I painted anything that saw any kind of heat I used the VHT brand of "Hi-heat' enamel spray paint.

Saw some of the VHT for plastic. Handles up to 200*. Went with some Duplicolor rated at 500*. Thanks for the info!

Ready to go back on the engine. Took your advice Jewel and went with the VHT after regular engine paint wasn’t laying out well.
Only 15 degrees out in the garage today. We’ll let them cure up nice and hard and install them in spring.

Inspired me to give this a whirl on break…used VHT dark blue engine paint. My car is a 2013 BRM.

Looks nice. Definitely dresses up the engine bay.

Looks great!! Nicely done sir. They will look nice on the engine. You could always clear them too if you wanted to. Make them gloss a bit more. But not necessary.

After further thought, 20 degrees in the garage, out of the wind, was just fine to finish the job.

Nice! Do you still run the engine cover? If not you should ditch the stock valve covers and coil pac brackets and get a set of Holly Billet ones. I have a set of the tall ones on my engine powder coated RJT to match the underhood theme, and the coil pacs bolt right onto them, no more ugly bracket. Plus it angles them some so they look better.
