Deflector for oil pan.
I am unsure if anyone posted about this or not (couldn't find anything in search). I have a new TSP stroked long block coming and I wanted to see what others have done with the deflector for the oil pan. From my understanding the increased stroke the deflector will hit the crank. TSP stated that I would have to just bend it out of the way. Had anyone dealt with this? Thanks for the help.

I would bend and maybe hammer the pan a bit to stretch it out of the way. Sounds like it is there to prevent the oil getting whipped up.
Depending on depth of the new stroke, you may want to look at oil level. You may need to go to 9 qts = full instead of 10. Once your build is done I guess you could experiment and look at the dipstick. |

I haven't heard anyone talk about the amount of oil in the pan yet. I will ask about that one. Thanks.
