Does anyone know if doing this will decrease the horrible catless smell on startup? Seems 10x worse starting up than when driving/parking.

I would love to try this on my 19 but I dont see a catalyst warm up under general. Only cylinders/cylinder volume.

Question... I would really like to disable the cold start on my car... I daily drive it during the summer and I've had a few nasty glares from my neighbors after getting long tube headers... I asked my Tuner about it and he's hesitant... he said that he doesn't want to mess with the startup. Are there any risks to disabling the cold start? I understand that the cats don't warm up as quickly and maybe the oil won't flow to the top of the engine quiet as quickly, but are there any risks to the health of the engine or otherwise? Thanks.

Do you have any reliability concerns because of it, with a direct injected engine?

If you leave the car in stealth mode when you turn it off the valves close right before the engine starts next time.

Hmmm....Not annoy the neighbors and miss that sweet sound, or stealth mode from now on....

I think I'll pretend I can't change it =P

(It's all good, they all seem to love my car)

This feature has been removed in HPtuners. And disabling cat warmup quiets down the cold start for anybody that wants to know. You would have to find a pre 4.4.12 software version in order to still be able to disable this feature.

Out of curiosity, are there any reliability concerns disabling this feature (assuming a catless LTH car obviously)?

I see. So I should leave the cold start on and disable cat warmup?
