ARH headers connected to borla catback

I currently have the Borla Stype catback exhaust system for my 2018 zl1. I want to add ARH headers with cats. How are people connecting them? There are a few options
1. Headers with cats short system do they mate up to the catback diameter and length.
2. Headers with cats Intermediate system which includes ARH x pipe does that tie into the system. But also Borla has their x pipe towards the back close to the mufflers. So that would make it have 2 x pipes in the line. The double x pipe would mimic the corsa double helix.
3. Headers with cats long system which connects close to the mufflers and eliminate most of the Borla pipe which I had already paid for.

I was hoping my friends here on the forum could help me out with my headers to ease some of the trail and error
Thank you in advance

I have a Borla full catback, and decided to go with Kooks headers with high-flow cats. Connects and clamps perfectly and still have full NPP function

My previous tuner wanted me to go with ARH, and if I did, it would have been the ARH intermediate system mated to the Borla mid pipe

Not much utility in you getting the long tube system if you already have the borla catback

Do you have the secondary cat delete pipe? I don't.

So your Kooks are just headers and cats??

I was hoping the ARH headers with the high flow cats would mate without having to buy any waisted parts.

Do you have Green Cats? That is what I was looking at with Kooks or ARH. Then it will have to be tuned.

Curious how it different it would sound with two x pipes if I went with the ARH intermediate. Did they say why the ARH with high flow cats wouldn't connect and you needed the intermediate?
I might just have to go with Kooks or to the dice with the ARH headers and cats and hope it connects

It would be hard to pass up Kooks if you know they’ll fit with the green cats and the factory exhaust.

Yes it is hard to pass up the Kooks that mates up as Dr Feelgood says. But I really want to use the ARH headers. From what I read the ARH are a bit longer than Kooks?

The ARH long system does extend to basically the rear axle where it would normally slide over the factory axleback/muffler. Both the Borla and ARH systems are 3" in diameter so we use V-Band clamps to mate the two systems together which comes out very nice. This does require some welding to connect the clamps to both sides of pipe. Short of that the Kooks Headers with connection pipes is your best bet.

I was going to buy the Green Cats.. I spoke with two different vendors who flat out told me "DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY". Both have been in the industry for a longtime, and said there is essentially no difference between the two, and they personally felt it was a marketing ploy to overprice these CATS. I went with Kooks regular High Flow Cats. I will not name the vendors, but I appreciate their honesty.

Sorry if I was unclear. ARH sells three Headers setups

Shorty: Headers + connection pipe (Catted or non catted)

Intermediate: headers + connection pipes + partial extension into Xpipe (does NOT bolt to factory mufflers )

Long: Headers + Connection pipes + full X pipe that bolts to factory mufflers

FULL: self explanatory

I actually think the ARH shorties with high flow Cats would connect just fine to my Borla catback, this is equivalent to my Kooks exhaust with high flow cats

see the setups here

Also not to mention that the Kooks are about $400 cheaper. I wouldn't mind the extra money for the ARH but seems that both are top quality. ARH are one gauge thicker. Performance wise nobody has said one is better than the other. Customer service wise ARH would top Kooks

Pretty sure I've read of a few cases of Kooks rubbing and not a single case of ARH rubbing. I've always went with ARH myself.
