Aperta wind screen?

Anyone have or heard of the Aperta windscreen for the convertible? It is being offered on ebay.

I'm a little suspect, it says 2015 to 2018, not 2016 to 2018...
Please post a review

Why do you lose the back seat when installing these? Is it possible to use without the cover over the back seats?

If you look at the pictures you can see that it is attached by the four corners that lock into the back seat area. The GM windscreen works the same way. No, it isn't possible to use it without covering the back seats.

Further studying their website cabriosupply.com, they show one installed on a 6 gen, but it does not have the recessed area in the top bar between the seats. Appears they have a "mirror" and "non-mirror" version. Hoping it arrives as the "mirror" version.

In case it matters to anyone interested in this windscreen, it does not fold up like the OEM windscreen. I don't think it will fit in the trunk, below the top in front of the trunk divider.

It does not appear to fold up, but their website does indicate it fits in the booth (trunk?). Time will tell, should be in my hands by the end of the week. They did confirm they shipped the mirror version (has recess in middle).

The full description on the ebay listing indicates they are 104.5cm long. I just measured my trunk and the longest dimension is about 90cm. With shipping, the total cost is ~$280. Using a 20% off coupon, I paid $334.36 for a GM wind deflector from ebay. To me, the extra $55 is worth knowing for sure that it will fit in my trunk. If you're always going to have it installed or only remove it when you're at home, then it's probably worth the savings. Hopefully it works out for you.

Thanks for the effort to measure. I am not overly concerned if it does not fit in the trunk, but others maybe. It will likely get installed and never removed. We are empty nesters and the boys (my (2) 80 lb pitbulls) are not permitted to ride in the camaro. The only items ever in the back seat since we got the car in March have been coats and the "Fifty" windshield screen.

The main considerations for trying this one were:
  • durability, less pivot points than the GM version
  • aesthetics, I prefer the profiled shape of the top bar
  • uniqueness
  • cost
  • satisfaction of identifying a viable, more cost effective option and being able to share it with the gen 6 vert community

Arrived and installed today. Windscreen appears to be very well made and fits perfectly. Steel power coated frame with vinyl leather look wrap and a very fine screen mesh.
Completely satisfied with the purchase. Was raining out so did not take out for a drive, or try to fit in the trunk, and thus pics from inside the garage. Happy to answer any questions.

That wind deflector looks like it might be taller and leans forward more than the GM one. Does it fit under the top in the up position?

I drove to work this morning with the top down and the deflector up. If the frame on the GM one dipped down like the Aperta one, I think it would partially block the mirror view. Do you have any mirror visibility issues caused by the dip?

This is how the GM one looks from a similar, but slightly higher angle.

It fits under with the top up and just brushes the inside of the top when folding back. No visibility issues, but I sit with the seat all the way to the floor and look though the screen with the rear view mirror.
