Side Mirror Glare-LT1
hey guys and gals,
Love my LT1 but not the cheap glass GM uses in the side mirrors. At night especially on the highway they easily reflect bright headlights. Trucks are especially an issue. I feel less likely to take long trips at night as the reflection makes the car tiring/frustrating to drive. Is there a film, or replacement glass anyone has used? In modern European cars I have never had this issue. |

Have not experienced this issue on my LT1. Are your windows tinted dark?

I'd say either tint them or see if someone makes a retrofit kit for the autodim glass (although I suspect that'll be difficult without blind spot)

Adjust the mirrors correctly and you should have no problem.

GM may have left the auto dimming feature off the LT1 mirrors in order to save some money (the passenger side doesn't have it even on my 2SS, by the way).
